These are a few of my favourite things:
Movies: The Princess Bride, Spiceworld, Love Actually, Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral (right up until that unbearably cheesy final scene), Boys Don’t Cry, Finding Neverland, Mary Poppins, The Castle, Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, 10 Things I Hate About You, Imagine Me and You, The Hairy Bird.
TV: Bones, Green Wing, The L Word, Vicar of Dibley, Grey’s Anatomy, Shortland Street, McLeod’s Daughters (but only seasons 1-3), Jandals Away.
Food: Sushi/sashimi (I love the texture of raw meat…apparently I am a werewolf?), pasta, high-cocoa chocolate, green apples, berries, tinned caramel.
Music: Missy Higgins, 10,000 Maniacs, Savage Garden, Spice Girls, Gin Wigmore, Dixie Chicks, The Cranberries, Chantal Kreviazuk, ABBA, Natalie Merchant, Natasha Bedingfield, Stellar*, Blondie, Strawpeople, Shakira, Mika, Pink, Cat Stevens, Elton John, REM, etc.

25 Random Facts About Me
1. Every time I try to think of a word or phrase to put in a blank space (like a secret question or password, or this space on this list), the word ‘polka’ or ‘polka dot’ automatically comes to mind. I don’t have a thing about polka dots, so I have no idea why this is! I think I may have actually cured this now; I wrote a short story about polka dots a couple of times and the urge seems to have been quelled!
2. I am a namenerd. My list of favourite names has 129 names on it.
3. I still know all the words to the theme song of Sailor Moon AND Captain Planet (and I have them on my iTunes).
4. I would place myself as about a 3 or 4 on the Kinsey scale.
5. I was brought up Anglican, going to church, etc, and went to an Anglican all-girls school (albeit a very liberal one). I managed to end up an atheist.
6. I hate being too hot. I would much rather be cold; it’s so much easier to warm up than cool down.
7. I am often paranoid that people are only nice to me to humour me.
8. Whenever I see a mandarin I get the song ‘Oh Mandy’ stuck in my head.
9. My second stepmum’s second husband (my family is awesomely confusing) is, strangely, my favourite of her husbands. We have similar personalities and understand jokes that other people in the conversation will miss completely.
10. My favourite body parts are my feet. They are the place I would most likely get a tattoo.
11. My least favourite is my nose. I would definitely not get a tattoo there.
12. I love using the passive voice in essays, etc. It drives me mad that Word underlines it every time as a grammar error.
13. I am far too fond of commas and semi-colons. I especially love the oxford comma. I am also slightly obsessed with apostrophes. I actually shook my fist at a sign the other day because it was lacking an apostrophe. It said Sophies Café. *growls*
14. At the beginning of 7th form, I attended Science Camp. It was probably the best experience of my life so far, and fantastically nerdy. I also had a huge crush on one of the student advisers.
15. If I could have one talent, it would be to be a fantastic netballer. Being a Silver Fern would be the awesomest thing ever.
16. I get terribly starstruck when faced with someone famous I admire, but not so much with a famous person that I don’t.
17. I love pyjamas. I would probably live in them if I could. I think that the world would be a much nicer place if everyone wore pyjamas all the time!
18. Some people have favourite quotes or phrases. I have favourite words. They include: loom, echolalia, and phantasmagoria.
19. I am an epic wordnerd. I majored in Linguistics at Uni and ‘collect’ new and interesting words when I come across them.
20. Peculiar things make me happy, like the fact that George and Izzie from Grey’s Anatomy are best friends in real life.
21. My sort-of-joke fantasy is to go to Scotland and marry a cute laird and live in a big castle by a loch and have lots of sheep.
22. I would love to travel to the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland.
23. I still love Enid Blyton’s Famous Five and St Clare’s books. I was always disappointed that we never played lacrosse at school.
24. The Gumbies brain surgeon sketch is my favourite Monty Python sketch, closely followed by the Argument Clinic and the Ministry of Silly Walks.
25. When I ‘grow up’, I want a dog. She will be a dalmatian, or a blue heeler, or a lab, or a border collie.
For those of you new to my blog, this list used to have 100 items on it. The references in the comments are to: #57, still on the list but now at #11, #35, which was about the Princess Bride being my favourite movie of all time, and #24, which was ‘There are some Spice Girls songs I don’t like. This is hard for me to admit, but, as massive a fan as I am, half of the tracks from their third album were a bunch of RnB stuff and I skip them when they come onto party shuffle on my iTunes. *burrows underground and stays there due to not being able to live with myself*’

LOL! These lists are awesome! I can’t think of anything specific to comment on, but it entertained me anyway!
