OK so this blog is a two-parter: part one = random stuff, part two = my extremely odd dream from a few nights ago.
Actually not really a lot has been happening! I have and essay to write, a portfolio to complete by the 31st so I can apply for a Creative Writing paper next semester at uni, a book to read by Thursday afternoon, plus I’ve been working quite a few hours lately …but anyway that’s all boring! Today I went to the mall with my friend, who introduced me to the wonders of the scrapbooking aisle at K-Mart. I’m not a scrapbooker, but I do make all my own cards, so I was kind of in creative heaven (I can’t paint or draw or anything, so cards are my thing lol). I got: a craft knife (coz I can’t cut in a straight line with scissors!), little bits of pretty patterned paper, different-coloured tissue paper, and a pack of 50 bits of coloured card. Now I think I’m a tiny bit addicted; next I want more cool-shaped hole punches and a guillotine (upgrade on the craft knife!). Also I had a bubble cup (mmm, tapioca pearls…. *drools*) and now I think I’m a wee bit over-excited about aforementioned purchases!
I have also been on the online names forum that I belong to quite a lot lately (www.behindthename.com) – recently I have added the following names to my list of favourites (the total number is currently sitting on 72 lol – I’m pretty much a certified namenerd): Nita, Maya, Cassandra, Sarah, Carlotta, Christian, Linus, Cate, Jessamine, Natalia, Rosetta, and Temperance (have possibly been watching too much Bones lately!). What names are your favourites? Please no-one say Jayden or Neveah! (*is also a bit of a name snob*!). On another thread on the same site, someone was asking what animal names we liked as person-names (like Fox, Wolf, Wren, whatever) and someone actually stated that they liked Koala, for a girl. I was like ‘wtf?! Koala?!’ they’re vicious! And kind of odd-looking. And furry. And they have really big ears. Aaaaanyhoo!
Right so that was boring! If you’re still reading, this bit is better (IMHO). So the other night I had this dream, where, first I was reading a book in which the main character was attempting to locate her half-brother who she had just discovered had been put in an insane asylum before she was born. Then it turned out this was actually happening in my life too, so I went on this mission with my brother, stepsister and a cousin to find the half-brother. I don’t think we ever actually did, but at one point I attempted to enlist the help of my other stepsister (who is 10). She wasn’t in her room, but I was standing there waiting for her, playing with stuff on her desk (this was all happening in a massive house), when I discovered her WEED STASH. So I got really angry at her when she finally came in the room, and threw out all the dope, which led to a huge fight with her and she stopped speaking to me. Then I sort of forgot about the half-brother search, and was in a different part of the house where there was a huge square-spiral staircase going up for storeys and storeys, and I was chasing this woman who was trying to steal my husband up the stairs (I don’t actually have a husband in real life, and in the dream my husband wasn’t even interested in the woman, so I don’t know why I felt so threatened!). I finally caught up with her and actually pushed her over the banister about 3 or 4 storeys up. I think I may actually have killed her, but I didn’t stop to check lol. I then went to tell my husband about what had happened with the woman, and it turned out my husband was Ken Barlow from Coronation Street!. For anyone who doesn’t know wtf that is, it’s a UK soap opera that we also get here in Kiwiland, which I’m kind of into at the moment (UK dwellers: we’re way behind, Tracy’s trial is only just happening). So now I’m really weirded out lol – maybe I have a subconscious attraction to Ken Barlow! o.O
Lol so that’s my weird life and mind… your turn now!

Haha awesome, so are you still exercising restraint about not opening the stuff!?
You have 72 favourite names…what are you going to do…have 72 kids!? o.O
No, I don’t like Jayden or Neveah, I don’t DISLIKE Jayden (for a boy), but Neveah ≠ a name. :/
Lol at calling their child Koala. Poor kid.
LMFAO at your dream!
Well… They’ll have two names each (first name and middle name), so that’s really only 36 children – that’s nowhere near as many as that guy in your book
True! But he wasn’t the one giving birth to all those children! LMFAO!
Well I am glad that I don’t have a monopoly on weird dreams .
*whines*
