This is my new earworm. I was watching the Tyra show the other day (I know!) and Natasha Bedingfield was on and performed this song live. I downloaded it that evening and listened to it about ten times in a row. I’m finding it quite addictive still – I listen to it once then HAVE to listen to it again because it doesn’t feel right that it’s finished. Unfortunately I have not yet worked out how to set my iPod to ‘repeat song’, so if anyone knows how to do this, please tell me lol.
Hmm it won’t let me embed the version with the actual clip, but here’s the link to it.
I think that if the song was a lolcat, it would be this one:
In other news, I am still EPIC pissed off with my work. Last night I was informed (by a third party) that I would probably be working today at lunchtime at the other restaurant, and that the DM would ring me last night or this morning if I was needed. This is despite me never having actually been asked whether I can work during the daytime OR at the other restaurant, OR if I was free today. So I left my phone off today. Maybe if this happens enough they will get their act sorted and learn to treat the staff with some respect.
On a happier note, yesterday Jenny and I hired some old Buffy episodes and spent the day watching them. Neither of us had ever taken much interest in the show until a class we did at uni last year involved an entire three-hour lecture on it. Now we’re working our way through the seasons, although we keep missing bits. We watched the beginning of season 3 yesterday, and are currently very confused about why Buffy had to kill Angel even though he’d been ‘cured’. But don’t tell us, coz you’ll just deprive us of more tv-watching joy. We just need to find the ends of season 1 and 2 lol. And I still can’t work out if I like Angel-David Boreanaz or Booth-David Boreanaz better. I think I’m leaning towards Booth though.

Happee Kitteh! *squish*
Holly: Squish? Kittehs r not 4 skwishing.
Wow, her singing is impressive! I like Unwritten, and I think there was another one that I’ve forgotten…
Good move taking the phone off the hook!
That’s just unreasonable.
I made my family watch an episode of Buffy (the one where they thought Oz might’ve killed someone) but I don’t think any of them ‘got it.’ And they talked through the great bit about the improvisational jazz band not being able to march straight. I guess Joss Whedon’s genius is a little too subtle for some people, lol.
Re: Angel vs. Booth, I’m staying on the fence for now. Booth really annoys me sometimes, but we don’t know that much about Angel yet… We should watch some Angel too sometime.
Jenny: Oh no, not a “I’m going to flatten you into a kitteh pancake” kind of squish! More like a “You are so cute that I’m liable to get a little bit too carried away hugging you” kind of squish.
Going by memory I watched a bit of Buffy when it first came on TV and then I lost interest at some stage.
If your iPod is the same as mine (Classic) just go to settings and scroll to Repeat, push the middle button thingie and it moves from Off to Repeat Current Song, then Repeat Current Playlist and back to Off again. Happy listening again and again and again.
[...] favourite thread so far is for ‘Pocketful of Sunshine’ by Natasha Bedingfield (which I Music Mondayed a while ago). I had never really thought about it, beyond it being a happy song about ignoring the bad stuff [...]
